The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is similar in size to the Nintendo Switch system, but features a larger 7-inch screen with OLED technology for vibrant colors and high contrast. The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) also has a wide adjustable stand for tabletop mode, a new cradle with a LAN port for a stable online experience, 64GB of system memory, and built-in speakers with improved audio for handheld and tabletop modes. Like Nintendo Switch, players can play on the TV with Nintendo Switch (OLED model) and share Joy-Con controllers to play together.
And just like Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) can be taken anywhere to play wherever you go. A Nintendo Switch carrying case and screen protector will also be available for Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
On the Nintendo Switch (OLED model), players will experience improvements to all three play styles:
- TV Mode: Place Nintendo Switch (OLED model) in the dock to play Nintendo Switch games on your TV. The built-in LAN port gives players an additional option to connect online in TV mode.
- Tabletop mode: Flip out the console's kickstand and use the screen to play multiplayer games with the two included Joy-Con controllers. The wide, adjustable kickstand provides a sturdy base for every play session, and players can position the console at any viewing angle to keep an eye on what's on screen.
- Handheld Mode: Users can take the console anywhere in handheld mode and play with friends locally* or online**. The 7-inch OLED screen offers vibrant colors and high contrast. All previously released Joy-Con controllers for Nintendo Switch are compatible with this new model. In addition, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is compatible with the entire catalogue of Nintendo Switch games.***
