DJ Hero 2 with Turntable for PlayStation 3 is a unique rhythm game where you mix and scratch music using a special turntable controller. Instead of playing guitar like in Guitar Hero, here you step into the shoes of a DJ and create mash-ups of well-known tracks from hip-hop, dance, pop, and rock.
The bundle includes the official DJ Hero Turntable controller and the game DJ Hero 2. With the turntable, you scratch records, use crossfades, and activate effects as tracks fade into one another. The game features over 80 mixes with artists such as Lady Gaga, Eminem, Deadmau5, Rihanna, Metallica, and Dr. Dre .
DJ Hero 2 also introduced new freestyle features, allowing you to scratch and mix freely during certain sections for extra creativity. In addition to solo gameplay, the game supports multiplayer modes in which two DJs play together or against each other. A third player can even join in with vocals via a microphone.
The DJ Hero series received much praise for its original gameplay and soundtrack. Fans on Reddit still call the PS3 version one of the most fun rhythm games of that generation, especially when the complete set with dongle and turntable is present.
